Environment

Rising on the high plains beneath Mount Bogong, the upper reaches and tributaries of the Mitta Mitta River drain through deeply dissected forests. The main channel of the Mitta Mitta forms at the confluence of the Cobungra River and the Big River, and then flows northwards to Dartmouth Dam.
